Knowing how to make coffee properly in your Curtis coffee maker is important to keep your business running, especially if you’re in a restaurant, office or convenience store. Learn how to make delicious coffee in your Wilbur Curtis unit with the instructions below.

G3 Series Coffee Brewers

These instructions are applicable for Alpha and D60 models.


  • Step 1—Check to see that the brewer is on at the rear toggle switch. If on, “Ready to brew” should be on the display.

  • Step 2—Place a clean, empty decanter centered under the brew basket.

  • Step 3—Insert a paper filter into the brew basket.

  • Step 4—Add the proper amount of coffee grounds to the brew basket, and level the grounds.

  • Step 5—Slide the brew basket all the way back into the brew rails until it stops.

  • Step 6—Press the “Brew” button to start brewing.


Cafe Pourover Series Brewers

These instructions are applicable for models CAFE 1DB, CAFE 2DB, CAFE 3DB, CAFE AP and CAFE 0PP.


  • Step 1—Place a paper filter into the brew cone and evenly pour coffee grounds into the filter.

  • Step 2—Slide the brew cone all the way back into the guide rails.

  • Step 3—Once the green “Ready to Brew” light turns on, add one decanter (around 64 oz.) of room temperature water into the opening on the top cover. Brewing will start and take about three minutes.

  • Step 4—Turn on the warmer plates to keep coffee at serving temperature once brewed.

  • Step 1—Check to make sure the unit is plugged in and the “Ready to Brew” light is on. If your model has a rear toggle switch, make sure it’s flipped into the ON position.

  • Step 2—Place a clean, empty decanter centered under the brew basket.

  • Step 3—Insert a paper filter into the brew basket. Add the proper amount of coffee grounds to the brew basket, and level the grounds.

  • Step 4—Slide the brew basket all the way back into the brew rails until it stops.

  • Step 5—With another decanter, add one full decanter of room temperature water into the pourover opening at the top. Once the water is added, brewing will start and take about 3 minutes.

  • Step 6—Turn on the warmer plates to keep coffee at serving temperature once brewed.
