What is it about your restaurant that keeps customers coming back?
Great Food Not Fast Food. We are 15 minutes from the Beautiful Carlsbad Caverns at the south end of town. We’re a true “no place like home” type of restaurant.
What does every restaurant owner need to know to be successful?
Get to know your customers by name, it tells them they’re NOT just a dollar sign! Manage your time, so you don’t have to rush to find the items you need. It’s all about customers, and sometimes, just holding out, searching for a little longer brings better pricing for everyday items. I watch non-ingredient costs VERY closely, so I can have higher quality product, and pay my employees what they’re worth.
What is the toughest challenge your restaurant has faced?
We are a small restaurant with a BIG customer base. Sometimes I wish we had more grills/fryers to fulfill the demand. Our town is now growing even bigger, so we’re looking at a possible re-model!
How has your relationship with Parts Town been?
When I ordered from Parts Town, I didn’t have to follow up, That means a lot to me in my time-strapped business.
