Over the past several weeks, each team at Parts Town has been working to support Ronald McDonald House Charities. RMHC is an organization dedicated to improving the health and well being of children.<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0Ronald McDonald House<\/strong>\u00a0provides a \u201chome-away-from-home\u201d for families whose children are receiving medical treatment at non-local hospitals.<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0Ronald McDonald Family Rooms<\/strong>\u00a0offer the comforts of home within the hospital itself, so families can rest and regroup just moments away from their child.<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0Ronald McDonald Care Mobile<\/strong>\u00a0takes health care on the road, visiting communities around the globe to provide medical, dental, and health education services.<\/p>\n \u2022 The organization also awards grants to other non-profits whose vision aligns with its own.<\/p>\n There are many ways to make a contribution to this wonderful organization. Parts Town has done our part in a way that\u2019s so simple and fun, anyone of any age can participate \u2013 pop tab collecting.\u00a0For added fun, the teams have been collecting pop tabs in competition, vying for both the greatest quantity and most impressive presentation.<\/p>\n We all love our soda pop, and it\u2019s so easy to pull the tabs off empty cans before recycling them. It\u2019s a small thing to do, but it adds up.\u00a0When the tabs are collected, they are taken to the local RMHC chapter, who drops them off at an area recycling center. There they are weighed to determine their value, and RMHC is sent a check.
