In my time at Parts Town, I\u2019ve discovered a few catch phrases.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cUnique enthusiasm\u201d is one \u2013 it\u2019s printed on the wall as a gentle memory jog in case someone\u2019s having an off day and forgetting to give 110%. Along the same lines, \u201cgo the extra mile\u201d is an encouraging little pointer in how we ought to treat everyone who works with us \u2013 customers and suppliers and colleagues alike. Somewhat lesser known is the directive to \u201cwear many different hats.\u201d More than just advice on what to do about a bad dye job, this is a reminder to help out where you\u2019re needed, whether or not it falls strictly within the parameters of your job description.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s another catch phrase that\u2019s been even more useful to me during my years here \u2013 \u201cGo ask Laura.\u201d<\/p>\n

Senior Operations Manager Laura Hugger is the guru, and she has enthusiasm in spades. In the time she\u2019s been with Parts Town, she\u2019s worn more different hats than Queen Elizabeth. From customer service and order entry to credits, warranty, and returns; from inventory management to UPS issues and expediting, Laura has done it all.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Perhaps that\u2019s why she\u2019s been presented on four occasions with the coveted Core Value Award. Then again, it could be because of her remarkable commitment to the company and her coworkers. \u201cGo ask Laura \u2013\u201c not only does she know the answer, but she\u2019s willing to take the time to help.<\/p>\n
