Establish a Floor Plan with Plenty of Space<\/h2>\n<p>Before you consider styles and embellishments, come up with a solid floor plan first. A small restaurant floor plan should have a proper kitchen to dining space ratio. Most experts agree you should allocate 60 percent of your total space for the dining area and 40 percent of your entire space for the kitchen and prep area. There are a wide variety of ways to <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/kfODCR1Nuyk\">lay out the kitchen<\/a>, but you should include at least these fiver core stations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Hot station<\/strong> \u2013 Houses cooking equipment like<a href=\"https:\/\/www.partstown.com\/oven-range-parts\"> ranges<\/a>, warmers, fryers and grills.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Cold station <\/strong>\u2013 Includes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partstown.com\/refrigeration-parts\">refrigerators<\/a>, freezers and coolers.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Cleaning station<\/strong> \u2013 Has multiple sinks and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partstown.com\/dishwasher-parts\">dishwashers<\/a> for cleaning dishes, cookware, utensils and more.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Prep &amp; baking station<\/strong> \u2013 Where you do things like chop, knead and mix.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Delivery &amp; takeout prep <\/strong>\u2013 Where staff packs orders for delivery and takeout orders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Delivery &amp; Takeout Station<\/h3>\n<p>To prevent crowding near the front of the restaurant, designate a special area for only delivery and takeout orders. If you have multiple side doors by the front of the house, reserve one of them for just pick-up. As long as it doesn\u2019t interfere with dine-in patrons, the station should help prevent a high volume of traffic near the main entrance.<\/p>\n<p>Set up a small counter where a staff member can hand out delivery and takeout orders. If the kitchen is nearby, each order can be placed inside a warming and cooling equipment in the kitchen. However, if you have the space, consider placing a small <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partstown.com\/cm\/resource-center\/guides\/gd1\/what-is-a-holding-cabinet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">warming cabinet<\/a> or refrigeration in that delivery and takeout station.
