How to Clean a Crathco Bubbler

Below are daily rinsing and cleaning procedures for Crathco Bubblers.

Rinsing Procedures

  • Step 1. Turn off the machine – Power down the unit by switching off and unplugging it.
  • Step 2. Drain the beverage from the bowls – Place buckets underneath the dispenser levers and drain remaining beverage or product from the bowls. Make sure to dispose of the product.
  • Step 3. Add water to each bowl – Pour a full gallon of lukewarm water into each bowl. Make sure to place the bowl covers back on before proceeding.
  • Step 4. Turn on the machine – Plug in and switch the unit on. Then, allow it to run for at least 10 seconds.
  • Step 5. Turn off the machine again – Switch off and unplug the unit.
  • Step 6. Clean the bowl surfaces – If necessary, remove all bowl covers and use the multipurpose soft-bristled brush to scrub the interior surfaces of the bowls.
  • Step 7. Drain each bowl – Remove dirty water from the bowl. If the rinsing water is murky and still dirty, repeat the rinsing process until the water is clear.

Cleaning Procedures

  • Step 8. Mix and add the cleaning solution – Fill the shaker jug with a gallon of lukewarm water. Then, add a 1 oz. packet of Stera-Sheen Green Label. Shake thoroughly until the cleaner dissolves. The solution is used for cleaning one bowl, so this process will need to be repeated for additional bowls if necessary. Then, pour a full gallon of solution into each bowl and reinstall the covers.
  • Step 9. Circulate the solution – Plug in and switch on the unit. Let the machine circulate the cleaning solution for about 30 seconds.
  • Step 10. Turn the unit back off - Turn the machine off again by pressing the switch and unplugging the power cord.
  • Step 11. Clean the bowl surfaces – Remove all bowl covers and use the multipurpose soft-bristled brush to clean the interior surfaces of each bowl. Ensure that the cleaning solution comes in contact with all interior surfaces. Carefully brush near the dispensing valve as well.
  • Step 12. Clean the bowl lids - Use the brush to scrub all of the bowl lids with the cleaning solution from inside the bowls.
  • Step 13. Let the solution sit and drain – After brushing the surfaces and dispensing valves, let the cleaning solution sit for 60 seconds. Then, drain each bowl.
    • Note. Drain some of the cleaning solution back into the shaker jug for next steps.
  • Step 14. Clean the valves and evaporator plates - Use the leftover cleaning solution that was collected in the shaker and a soft cloth to clean the dispenser valves and evaporator plates.
  • Step 15. Clean the exterior - Use a soft cloth and stainless steel cleaner to wipe down the unit exterior.
  • Step 16. Clean the drip tray - Take the drip tray over to a sink and clean it with a mild detergent and a scrub brush.
  • Step 17. Rinse each bowl – Rinse each bowl with fresh, cool water. Drain each bowl after rinsing and place the bowl covers back on.
