Cleaning your Cres Cor unit is an important part of regular maintenance. When you regularly clean your food warmer, you can ensure its longevity by keeping your food at the proper temperature. To get started, simply let the cabinet cool and follow our guide below to clean your Cres Cor warmer for D and C series hot cabinets.

Supplies You’ll Need 

  • Mild detergent 
  • Soft cloths 
  • Water
  • Mild abrasive cleaner 
  • Chemical oven cleaner 
  • Oily or waxy cleaner 

Cres Cor Hot Cabinet Door Cleaning

Cres Cor food warmers typically have a vinyl exterior and aluminum interior that require special care and cleaning to keep dirt, grease and oil off and the reflection on. Be sure to wipe down the doors at least once a day and immediately after any spills, drips or drops. Fortunately, the cleaning procedures are quick and simple:

  • Step 1. Gather your supplies – To clean your Cres Cor hot cabinet doors, you’ll need to gather soft cloths or sponges and add a mild detergent to a bucket of warm water.
  • Step 2. Wipe down the doors – Wipe down the interior and exterior doors with your cleaning solution, taking care to remove any dirt, grease or oil that may have accumulated.
    • Note: Do not use Cres Clean on any plastic or labels on your unit.
  • Step 3. Rinse the doors – With clean water and clothes, rinse the interior and exterior of the doors.
  • Step 4. Dry thoroughly – Lastly, thoroughly dry with a clean cloth. 

Cres Cor Hot Cabinet Cleaning 

Whether it’s a small spill or you’re wiping off fingerprints, we can help you get your Cres Cor unit clean and ready for use. Be sure to wipe down your unit daily to prevent grease buildup and hard-to-remove stains. Here. are a few different types of cleaners and methods to get the following messes clean:

Note: Cres Cor has a specific cleaner called Cres Clean meant for these warmers. If you don’t have any available and can’t wait, you can use another cleaner, but be sure to avoid harsh chemicals.

Dirt

  • Mild Detergent - To clean dirt from your Cres Cor warmer, use mild detergent and hot water and wipe the unit down with a soft, damp cloth. Then, rinse with hot water and wipe dry.
    • Note: When using new cleaners, it’s important to spot-test before use.
  • Steam - Another option is to steam clean your unit. Afterward, thoroughly wipe dry with a clean cloth
    • Note: Do not use an alkaline additive, as this will damage your unit.

Fingerprints, Grease & Oil 

  • Chemical oven cleaner - Follow the directions on the packaging.
  • Mild abrasive, oil or waxy cleaner- Apply the cleaner with a soft, clean cloth to remove fingerprints, grease and oil. Remove with a clean cloth and water and dry thoroughly.
    • Note: Never mix different cleaning solutions together.

Water Spots

  • Mild abrasive, oily or waxy cleaner - For water spots, use a mild abrasive cleaner on a soft, clean cloth and wipe clean with a different damp cloth
