Crown Verity Grill Cleaning Tips

Cleaning Crown Verity Grill

Grilling your favorite foods can cause quite the mess. When the time comes to clean your Crown Verity grill, check out our tips. We’ll help you get your grill shining and ready for your next lunch rush. Note that these tips are specifically for the following models: MCB30, MCB36, MCB48, MCB60 & MCB72.

1. Clean the Grill Grates

Since these grates come in direct contact with your food, you’ll want to clean these regularly. Remove the grates from your Crown Verity grill and use a mesh or nylon scrub pad to wipe off the loose debris that can get stuck on them.

Once the larger debris is scraped off, mix some grease-cutting dish soap with water and soak the grates. After about 15 minutes, get your rubber gloves ready and use a grill brush or scrubbing pad to clean them. Rinse them off and place them aside to air dry.

2. Clean the Interior

Use your scrub brush to clean the inside of your grill as well as the lid to remove the larger debris. If you find some bigger peeling flakes of grease, you can use a putty knife or scraper. Also, don’t forget to clean the drip pan and grease cup using warm, soapy water and lining them in foil so they’re easier to clean the next time you use them.

3. Clean the Exterior

Fill a bucket with more sudsy, warm water and use a sponge to wipe down the exterior of the grill, the side trays, handles and any bottom doors. After you finish soaping up the grill, rinse the sponge and wipe down the soapy areas with water, then wipe dry.

4. Keep Your Crown Verity Grill Clean All Summer

  • Either before you start cooking or after you’re done, go over the grates with a brush pad while they are still warm to avoid buildup.
  • Regularly clean the grates with a scrub pad and a degreaser spray.
  • Keep grease-cleaning wipes nearby for a quick cleanup when something spills over.
  • Maintain your wire brushes and replace them when the metal bristles are worn so they don’t stick to the grates when you’re cleaning.
  • Use a grill cover between uses to keep the exterior protected.
