These calibration procedures will cover Nieco broiler models JF62, JF63 and JF64.

New Broiler & Monthly Procedure

  • Step 1. Check that all the broiler pieces are in place, then make sure that the broiler is plugged in and the exhaust hood is on. Once you’ve done this, turn on the broiler.
  • Step 2. For the flex side: set the temperature (bottom number) to 1000º F (or 537° C). Set the temperature by using the up or down arrows on the control. Leave the broiler temperature setting at 1000º F for 25 minutes. Do not cook in the broiler during this time. Once the 25 minutes are done, use the arrows on the control to put the set point to the actual temperature. The bottom number is the set temperature and the top number is the actual temperature.

Daily Procedure

  • Step 1. Turn on the broiler and adjust the set point (bottom number on the control) to 1000º F. Allow for the broiler warm up for one hour. Do not cook in the broiler during this hour.
  • Step 2. Once the hour is done, push the down arrow to lower the set point to 25º ABOVE the actual temperature of the oven.
  • Step 3. Your broiler is now calibrated.
