What to Avoid When Cleaning
Supplies to Avoid Using:
- Abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on exterior surfaces - Abrasive cleaners can leave scratches.
- Coarse paper towels on coated glass - The rough texture may scratch the glass.
- Ammonia-based cleaners on acrylic parts - These cleaners can cause cracks in the acrylic and give the surface a frosted look.
- Solvent, oil or acidic-based cleaners on interior surfaces - These cleaners can damage interior surfaces.
Cleaning Don’ts:
- Don’t use high pressure water hoses or steam on the interior - You will destroy the sealing and cause leaks, leading to poor performance.
- Don’t introduce water faster than it can drain out of the unit - You will flood the unit.
- Minimize contact between fan motors and cleaning or rinse water - Water may damage the motors.
