Nemco is an innovator of food preparation equipment that makes life easier. Their heat lamps allow you to make food and keep it warm so that you can serve a large number of people quickly and efficiently.  

Since these pieces of equipment are first class, any problems that pop up can be resolved quickly. This Nemco heat lamp troubleshooting guide outlines possible causes and solutions for issues that may arise with your unit, so you can get it working perfectly again as soon as possible. 

The following tips are for the 6000A-1,-2,-2B, and -3 model series.

Lights Not On

  • Unit is not plugged in - Plug in the unit.
  • Power is turned “OFF” - Turn the unit “ON.”
  • Bulb is blown - Check to see if the bulb has blown. If it has blown, replace it.

Loose Sockets

This occurs when the socket screws are loose or the socket is broken. Turn off the power and check if the socket is loose or broken. If it’s loose, remove the light bulb and tighten the socket screws. If the socket is broken, replace it.

Loose Hoods

Turn off the power and see if the hood is loose. If the screws are loose, remove the light bulb and tighten the screws.

Unit Blows Fuse or Circuit Breaker

Check the breaker box to see if the circuit is overloaded. If it’s still not working after resetting, contact a local electrician to remedy the issue.
