Struggling to keep product frozen or cool? This can lead to spoilage issues if not remedied quickly. This guide has some tips to help you with walk-in refrigerator and freezer troubleshooting so you can get everything working again.
Walk-In Cooler or Freezer Not Working or Cooling
- Power cord is unplugged - Plug in the power cord.
- Note: Always check the cord isn’t damaged before plugging it in. If there is any fraying to damage, contact a technician to replace it.
- Circuit breaker is off or tripped - Turn on or reset the breaker.
- Door was left ajar - Securely close the door.
- Note: Check the door closer is in alignment as it can prevent the door from securely closing.
- Condensing unit is dirty - Clean the condenser to ensure the unit is able to efficiently run.
- Temperature was set too high or low - Make adjustments to the temperature setting by following your unit’s owner manual.
- Sweep gasket is worn out - Adjust or replace the sweep gasket to ensure cool air isn’t escaping from the bottom of the door.
- Door gasket is dirty or damaged - Clean or replace the gasket to ensure a proper seal.
- Unit is overloaded - To maintain proper airflow, avoid overfilling the unit, space out product and keep things well organized.
- Component failure - Contact an authorized technician to diagnose and replace failed components.
