Waring commercial panini presses allow you to make hot sandwiches, wraps and burgers quickly and easily. Most restaurants and cafes are sure to use their panini press multiple times per day, so regular cleaning is very important. This guide is for the Compact (WPG150), Compresso (WPG200) and Supremo (WPG300) series models.

Supplies List

  • Cleaning Brush - Waring CAC105 (Included with panini press)
  • Heat-Resistant Gloves
  • Dish Soap
  • Warm Water
  • Sponge
  • Cloths

How to Clean the Panini Press

Be sure to unplug the unit and put on heat-resistant gloves before beginning the cleaning process.

  • Step 1. Remove food particles from the plates - Using the cleaning brush provided, brush the cast iron plates and scrape between the ribs to remove loose crumbs and burned-on food particles. 
  • Step 2. Scrub the plates - Clean the cast iron plates with a sponge and warm, soapy water to remove any remaining food particles or oil.

NOTE: DO NOT use cold water to clean the panini press.

  • Step 3. Wipe the plates - Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe away any remaining soap suds.
  • Step 4. Clean the drip tray - Remove the drip tray, wash it with warm, soapy water, then dry and reinstall it.

NOTE: The drip tray must be completely dry before reinstalling it.

  • Step 5. Clean the exterior - Wipe down the machine exterior with a clean, damp cloth.
