AHT Cooling Systems Refrigerator Cleaning Instructions

General Cleaning Steps
- Step 1—Clean the exterior walls and frame.
- Step 2—If equipped, clean the water protection strips and bumpers.
- Step 3—Clean the exterior glass surfaces.
- Step 4—Remove any food residue like packaging debris or spilled liquids.
- Step 5—Clean the lid tracks.
- Step 6—Thoroughly dry all surfaces once they’ve been cleaned.
- Step 7—Clean the floor around the unit.
Bi-Annual Cleaning
For these cleaning steps, the unit must be switched off and in manual defrost.
- Step 1—Move all food products to another unit prior to cleaning.
- Step 2—Press the “[STANDBY RESET]” button for at least 3 seconds until “---” is shown.
- Step 3—Remove all glass lids and their plastic bezels, frames and seals. Thoroughly clean these parts before re-installing them.
- Step 4—Remove all accessories like air ducts and goods grilles from the inside of the unit. Clean all components before re-installing. While cleaning, let all ice and frost on the inner tank walls melt.
- Step 5—Remove the defrost water by following one of the two methods listed below:
- Option 1—Use a wet vacuum to remove the defrost water.
- Option 2—If equipped, use your unit’s defrost water plug. Place a pan under the drain, then remove the plug. Let all the water drain completely before closing the drain.
- Step 6—Remove any food residue like packaging debris or spilled liquids.
- Step 7—Clean the inside of the unit, including the defrost drain and the defrost water sieve.
- Step 8—Clean the airflow channel if needed. To do so, lift up the air-flow channel and clean the areas below carefully with a damp cloth.
- Step 9—Thoroughly dry all surfaces and components.
- Step 10—Reinstall all components, accessories and lids.
- Step 11—Press the “[STANDBY RESET]” button for at least 3 seconds until the temperature is shown.
