Problem: Grinder Isn’t Grinding and the Display Doesn’t Light Up

Causes

  • Unit isn’t plugged into a power source
  • Bean container isn’t inserted
  • Thermal overcurrent circuit breaker has been tripped
  • Electric fuse has tripped

Solutions

  • Plug in the unit.
  • Insert the bean container.
  • Check if the circuit breaker has popped out and push it back in if it has. If the circuit breaker repeatedly pops out, contact an authorized service agent.
  • Check the fuse and return it to its original state or replace it. If the fuse repeatedly trips, contact an authorized service agent.

Problem: Grinder is Humming but not Grinding

Causes

  • Grinding mechanism is blocked
  • Buildup of ground coffee due to overfilling the portafilter
  • Grinding degree is too fine
  • Foreign object in the grinding mechanism

Solutions

  • Release the lock on the grinding degree setting adjuster, and turn it to “8.” Start the grinding process until the grinder clears itself out. Once grinding is done, adjust the grinding degree setting to the one needed.
  • Clean the outlet, then release the lock on the grinding degree setting adjuster, and turn it to “8.” Start the grinding process until the grinder clears itself out. Once grinding is done, adjust the grinding degree setting to the one needed. 
  • Follow the instructions from the first solution.
  • Clean the grinding mechanism and remove any foreign object. If it can’t be removed safely, contact an authorized service agent.

Problem: Grinder isn’t Grinding Finely Enough

Causes

  • Grinder discs are worn out
  • Grinder discs aren’t aligned

Solution

  • Contact an authorized service agent.

Problem: Grinder isn’t Grinding Consistently or is Grinding Intermittently and the Accuracy is Decreasing

Causes

  • Outlet is clogged
  • Outlet is damaged
  • Faulty flapper

Solutions

  • Turn off the grinder and clean the outlet with a brush. Then release the lock on the grinding degree setting adjuster, and turn it to “8.” Start the grinding process until the grinder clears itself out. Once grinding is done, adjust the grinding degree setting to the one needed.

Problem: Bean Container Can’t be Inserted

Causes

  • Grinder outlet is damaged
  • Faulty flapper
  • Beans are in the bean container intake
  • Rubber ring isn’t lying flat in the bean container intake

Solutions

  • Contact an authorized service agent
  • Contact an authorized service agent
  • Remove the beans from the intake
  • Make sure that the rubber ring is in the correct position in the intake

Problem: Grinder isn’t Dispensing in the Center of the Portafilter

Cause

  • Outlet isn’t aligned properly with the portafilter

Solution

  • Adjust the outlet properly while the portafilter is in place
