APW Wyott Food Warmer Operation Instructions
APW Wyott makes a whole host of food warmers, servers and cookers. These units let you maintain the right serving temperature for your prepared food items to make sure they stay safe and tasty. On top of their many applications in commercial foodservice settings, they’re also simple to use. Whether you have a fractional or full-size warmer, anyone on your staff can easily use these units. This guide will cover APW Wyott models PD-1A, DW-1A, W-1, W-2, W-3, W-4, W-3V, W-43V, CW-1B, CW-2A, CW-3A, CWM-2A, W-12, W-6 and W-9.
PD-1A and DW-1A Portable Display Warmers
- Step 1—Plug in the warmer and turn it on.
- Step 2—Place the precooked food product in the tray underneath the heat source.
W-1, W-2, W-3, W-4, W-3V, W-43V Warmers
- Step 1—Add the appropriate amount of hot water to the well pan according to your model’s particular requirements:
- W-1: 3 cups
- W-2: 6 cups
- W-3 & W-3V: 4 quarts
- W-4: 2 cups
- Step 2—Turn the control to the “HI” setting and let it preheat for 10 minutes.
- Step 3—Place the appropriately-sized inset or pan with preheated food product into the well.
- Step 4—Adjust the control setting by 2”-4” depending on the amount and thickness of the food product.
- Step 5—Cover the inset or pan to help maintain the perfect serving temperature.
CW-1B, CW-2A, CW-3A, CWM-2A, W-12, W-6, W-9 Cookers & Warmers
- Step 1—Add the appropriate amount of hot water to the well pan according to your model’s particular requirements:
- CB-1B: 6 cups
- CW-2A: 1 gallon
- W-6: 10 cups
- W-9: 3 cups
- W-12: 8 cups
- RCPW / CWM-2A: 1 gallon
- Step 2—Turn the control to the “10” setting and let it preheat for 15 minutes.
- Step 3—Place the appropriately-sized inset or pan with preheated or refrigerated food product into the well.
- Step 4—Adjust the control setting to “4” or “5” depending on the amount and thickness of the food product. If the food product is refrigerated, keep it at the “10” setting, stirring frequently. Adjust to “4” or “5” once the food product has reached the appropriate serving temperature.
- Step 5—Cover the inset or pan to help maintain the perfect serving temperature. Be sure to not let the well run dry while in use.
