Baxter Oven Programming

A Baxter oven is an amazing tool to have in the kitchen when you need precise and efficient cooking. Programming the oven makes it easy to cook your food at the exact temperatures and times that you need and gives you full control over the cooking process. Below we will help you with your Baxter oven programming and get it set up so you can cook how you want. 

The following guide is tailored for the Baxter OV500G Rotating Rack Ovens like models OV500E1, OV500G1-EE and more.

Single Step Recipe Programming

  • Step 1. Ensure oven is in OFF mode - Make sure the oven is in OFF mode before starting. 
  • Step 2. Get to the recipe mode - Press and hold the UP arrow in the STEP section while also pressing and holding the POWER ON OFF button for 3 seconds. All the displays should light, indicating you are now in recipe mode. 
  • Step 3. Select the recipe number - Press the RECIPE UP or DOWN arrows until your preferred recipe number is displayed. 
  • Step 4. Set the desired temperature - Press the TEMP UP or DOWN arrows to set your preferred temperature. 
  • Step 5. Set the desired timer setting - Press the UP or DOWN arrows next to TIMER to set your preferred cook time.
  • Step 6. Set the desired steam setting - Press the UP or DOWN arrows next to set your preferred steam time. This can be set to 0 if you don’t want to have any steam.
  • Step 7. Set the desired fan delay setting - Press the UP or DOWN arrows next to set your preferred fan delay time. This can be set to 0 if you don’t want to have a fan delay.
  • Step 8. Set the vent option - Press the VENT button to vent the oven for the entire time of the step.
  • Step 9. Exit the recipe - Press the RECIPE UP or DOWN arrows to move onto the next recipe number or press the POWER ON OFF buttons to exit and finish.

Multi Step Recipe Programming

  • Step 1. Ensure oven is in OFF mode - Make sure the oven is in OFF mode before starting. 
  • Step 2. Get to the recipe mode - Press and hold the UP arrow in the STEP section while also pressing and holding the POWER ON OFF button for 3 seconds. All the displays should light, indicating you are now in recipe mode. 
  • Step 3. Select the recipe number - Press the RECIPE UP or DOWN arrows until your preferred recipe number is displayed.  The STEP 1 light should be lit.
  • Step 4. Set the desired temperature - Press the TEMP UP or DOWN arrows to set your preferred temperature. 
  • Step 5. Set the desired timer setting - Press the UP or DOWN arrows next to TIMER to set your preferred cook time.
  • Step 6. Set the desired steam setting - Press the UP or DOWN arrows next to set your preferred steam time. This can be set to 0 if you don’t want to have any steam.
  • Step 7. Set the desired fan delay setting - Press the UP or DOWN arrows next to set your preferred fan delay time. This can be set to 0 if you don’t want to have a fan delay.
  • Step 8. Set the vent option - Press the VENT button to vent the oven for the entire time of the step.
  • Step 9. Advance the next step - Press the UP arrow in the STEPS section to move onto the next step for the recipe. The next step light should be lit.
  • Step 10. Repeat steps 4-9 - Repeat steps 4-9 to set each step as needed.
  • Step 11. Exit the recipe - Press the RECIPE UP or DOWN arrows to move onto the next recipe number or press the POWER ON OFF buttons to exit and finish.

How to Set the Clock on a Baxter Oven

  • Step 1. Turn on the auto timer control - Setting the clock requires the control to be turned on. Press the Timer ON/OFF to turn it on.
  • Step 2. Press and hold arrow button - Press and hold either up or down arrow button to initiate the clock setting.
  • Step 3. Adjust the time - Use the same up or down arrow buttons to change the clock time. After a few seconds the colon in the time display should resume flashing.
