Supplies
- Warm Water
- Mild Detergent
- Cleaning Cloths
- Soft Sponge
- Stainless Steel and Aluminum Cleaner
- Vinegar (if needed for stainless steel exteriors only)
Clean your unit on a daily basis to avoid heavy dirt and residue buildup. Avoid using high-pressured water hoses and don’t get water on the controls. When cleaning stainless steel, always remember to wipe with the grain to prevent streaks.
Pre-Cleaning Procedure
- Step 1. Turn off the unit - Use the power switch to turn off the oven.
- Step 2. Disconnect the power - Unplug the power cord from the wall in order to minimize the risk of electric shock.
- Step 3. Allow the oven to cool down - Reduce the risk of burns by letting the oven cabinet cool down before proceeding with the cleaning procedures.
Maintaining the Interior & Exterior
- Step 1. Wash the interior surfaces - Clean the inside, including the wire racks, with warm water, mild detergent and a soft cloth.
- Step 2. Clean the exterior surfaces - Wash the outside with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth.
- Step 3. Use chemical cleaner on difficult spots (if necessary) - If routine cleaning doesn’t remove stubborn stains, burnt residues, water spots or smudged fingerprints, use a soft cloth to apply approved cleaner to the affected area.
- Step 4. Remove hard water spots and scale (stainless steel units only) - For hard water spots and scale on models with stainless steel exteriors, use a clean cloth to swab the area with vinegar. Remember to rinse and dry the area thoroughly.
- Step 5. Rinse the unit - Use warm water and a soft cloth to wipe away any remaining debris, residues or suds.
- Step 6. Dry the oven - Soak up any remaining moisture with a clean, soft cloth.
Resuming Normal Operation
- Step 1. Plug in the unit - Reconnect the unit to the power supply by plugging the power cord into the outlet.
- Step 2. Turn on the unit - Use the power switch to restore power to the unit.
- Step 3. Use the unit normally - You may now resume normal operation.
