Door Leaks

Reason

Solution

Door gasket isn’t working

Check gasket for any damage or worn areas and replace as needed

Drains/piping is clogged

Contact an authorized service agent for assistance

Water Accumulating in Compartment

Reason

Solution


Drain screen is clogged


Remove the screen and clean it thoroughly. Replace as needed

Water Not Supplied to Boiler

Reason

Solution

Water supply is off


Turn water supply on


Water fill solenoid valve is defective


Contact an authorized service agent


Water level control clogged or defective


Clean the clog or replace as needed


Drain valve or water level control valve is closed


Open the valves

Supply water pressure too low


Adjust supply water pressure

Automatic Blowdown Valve Doesn’t Drain

Solution


Defective blowdown valve

Contact an authorized service agent to assist


Build up clogging drain lines and valve

Clear out any clogs

Achieving Pressure Slower Than Normal

Reason

Solution

Lime build up or scalant hurting heat transfer

Contact an authorized service agent for an inspection

Safety Valve Blown

Reason

Solution

Safety valve is defective

Contact an authorized service agent

Pressure too high

Pressure switch needs adjustment or replacement

Burners Produce Carbon Deposits
 

Reason

Solution

Wrong size orifice

Get orifice in correct size

Burner air isn’t adjusted correctly

Adjust burner air

Wrong gas supply

Get correct gas supply for unit

Incorrect pressure at supply

Contact an authorized service agent

Burners Don’t Come On
 

Reason

Solution

Gas supply is off

Make sure gas supply is on

Manual shut off valve is off

Turn on valve

Pilot is out

Contact an authorized service agent

Power supply is off

Turn power on

Water level has not been reached

 Check water supply and water level control

Pressure switch isn’t working 

Replace if relay is functioning

Gas control malfunctioning

Check gas control and replace as needed

Pilot Light Doesn’t Ignite

Reason

Solution

Gas control knob in OFF position

Turn knob to ON position

Loose or dirty connection to ignition module

Clean or tighten the connection

Ignition cable shorting out

Check for damage or contact with metal

Defective ignition module

Replace defective module

Unit is 100% lock out

Turn unit off and try again in 5 minutes

Dirty flame sensor

Contact an authorized service agent for help

Pilot burner/ignitor sensor, cracked ceramic insulator

Replace as needed

Room is drafty

Adjust the draft in the room
