Electro Freeze Ice Cream Maker Isn’t Working 

Problem 

Solution 


The freezer is unplugged


Plug in the freezer


There’s a blown fuse or the breaker tripped at the main disconnect


  • Make sure the freezer is connected to its own circuit that is not shared with any other electrical equipment 
  • If problem persists, please contact an authorized service technician


The actuator rod was not installed


Install the actuator rod


Off on high pressure cut-out or low pressure cut-out control


The water is off or the water


The circuit breaker tripped


Please contact an authorized service technician


The selector switch is faulty


Please contact an authorized service technician


There is a disconnected or broken wire in the electrical circuit


Please contact an authorized service technician


The beater motor is overloaded


  • Wait for motor to cool down 
  • Press the overload reset button 
  • Reset the circuit breaker 
  • Check the product temperature and consistency


There is a component failure


Please contact an authorized service technician

Mix is Leaking at the Dispensing Head 

Problem 

Solution 


The o-ring is faulty


Replace the o-ring


The head is improperly installed


Install head

Mix or Water is Leaking from Drain Tube to Drip Tray

Problem

Solution 


The beater shaft seal is faulty or installed improperly


  • Replace the cup seals on the washer 
  • Reinstall the beater shaft seal correctly


There is pitting or damage on the beater shaft where the o-ring is located


Replace the beater shaft


The beater shaft’s end play is not set correctly


Please contact an authorized service technician

Product is too Cold/Hard

Problem

Issue


There is low overrun


Check the overrun. If it’s low, please continue to the MTS troubleshooting chart


The plunger is not closed all the way


Close the plunger


The torque control is set incorrectly


Please contact an authorized service technician


The starter or relay control points are stuck


Please contact an authorized service technician


The cylinder thermostat is faulty or set too low


Please contact an authorized service technician


If the unit runs all the time, then the spigot switch is electrically or mechanically stuck in the closed position.


Please contact an authorized service technician


The spigot is not seated correctly in the head


Push the spigot down all the way


The spigot switch rod is engaged


Close the spigot


There is a component failure

The suction pressure is too low in the refrigeration system


Please contact an authorized service technician


The time delay is faulty

Product Dispenses too Slowly

Problem

Solution 


The condenser is dirty or blocked or there is high ambient temperature


  • Clean or unblock the condenser 
  • Lower the ambient temperature


The thermostat’s cut-in point is uncalibrated

The condenser fan motor is faulty


Please contact an authorized service technician


There is a faulty component or compressor


Please contact an authorized service technician


There is low overrun


Check the air meter for blockages


The product is too cold


Check product temperature (18℉)


The beater is rotating the wrong way

Electro Freeze Ice Cream Machine Not Freezing

Electro Freeze Ice Cream Machine too Loud

The tubing is rattling


Bend the tubes so they are not touching anything


The motor is not seated correctly on internal springs or the springs are bent/broken

Mix Sours While in Cabinet

Problem

Solution 


The thermostat is faulty, set too high or is not on


  • Lower temperature 
  • Turn on thermostat

The solenoid valve is faulty

The cabinet switch is faulty

The door switch is faulty

The cabinet compressor contactor coil is in the open position (only if mix sours in night mode)

MTS Troubleshooting

Problem

Cause

Mix leaks out of MTS


Transfer hose needs to be replaced


Replace transfer hose


Mix transfer system does not work


  1. The pump cover was not installed 
  2. The hose was not installed correctly 
  3. The slide switch is faulty 
  4. The MTS relay is faulty 
  5. The start capacitor or motor start switch is faulty 
  6. The pressure switch is faulty 
  7. The motor is faulty or the internal overload was tripped


  1. Install the cover 
  2. Reinstall the hose

MTS will not turn off

  2. There is a leak on the pressure side of the system

MTS will not prime


  1. The mix supply is low 
  2. The wing clamp knob is loose 
  3. The air hose or air meter are not installed 
  4. The hose is not installed


  1. Add more mix 
  2. Tighten the knob 
  3. Install the air hose or meter
  4. Install the hose


MTS pickup tube loses prime


  1. The duckbill valve is missing or faulty 
  2. The inlet clamp is loose
  3. The transfer hose is worn or broken


  1. Replace the duckbill valve 
  2. Tighten the clamp 
  3. Replace the transfer hose


No air (overrun)


  1. The air meter is clogged 
  2. The air tube is pinched


  1. Clean or replace the air meter 
  2. Unpinch or replace the tube


Too much air, overrun too high


  1. The air meter is too big
  2. There is an air leak between the pickup tube and hose 
  3. The air line hose is worn or broken 
  4. The duckbill valve is missing or broken


  1. Replace with a smaller air meter 
  2. Ensure hose is connected properly or replace the hose
  3. Replace the air line hose 
  4. Replace the duckbill valve


Mix shoots out air meter


  1. The swing clamp knob is too loose 
  2. The transfer hose is worn or broken 
  3. The MTS pressure is too high


  1. Tighten the knob 
  2. Replace the hose 
  3. Please contact an authorized service technician
