Electrolux Professional Dishwasher Cleaning
Keeping your cleaning equipment sanitary is an important step in making sure to not just spread dirt and grease around. A dishwasher requires some cleaning and maintenance to ensure that it is in top working condition. Electrolux Professional has a variety of dishwashers and they all require simple routine cleaning that anyone can perform on the equipment. Check your specific unit’s manual for any details on specific parts and chemicals that might need special attention. Below we have created a small guide on general procedures for Electrolux Professional dishwasher cleaning.
Exterior Cleaning
Cleaning the exterior of any of the dishwasher machines is simple. Using a soft rag and a stainless steel cleaner, wipe down any spots on the exterior of the dishwasher. Do not use any steel wool or abrasive tools when cleaning stainless steel. Be sure to wipe with the grain and always refer to your specific unit’s manual for any guidance on cleaning chemicals.
Interior Cleaning
The following steps are specifically for cleaning a hood-type Electrolux Professional dishwasher.
- Step 1. Unload the dishwasher - Remove any remaining dishes from the unit and the dish rack.
- Step 2. Remove supports - Remove the rack support.
- Step 3. Remove scrap containers - Take out the scrap tray and basket.
- Step 4. Remove tubes - Take out the overflow tube.
- Step 5. Run the dishwasher - Close the door and start a wash cycle. Wait for the dishwasher to finish running.
- Step 6. Cool down the interior - Once the cycle finishes, open the dishwasher door and wait a few minutes for it to cool.
- Step 7. Take out remaining baskets - Remove the bottom scrap basket.
- Step 8. Remove bottom arms - Take out the lower rinse and wash arms.
- Step 9. Remove top arms - Take out the upper rinse and wash arms.
- Step 10. Wash the parts - Take all the removed components to a sink. Clean them with warm water and dish soap. Then rinse them and set them aside to air dry.
- Step 11. Reassemble the unit - Install the cleaned components in the reverse order they were removed.
Tank Filter Cleaning
For machines with a tank filter, you want to be checking to make sure it isn’t dirty or clogged. This can cause the machine to fail in cleaning dishes properly.
- Step 1. Remove the filter - Gently pull the filter from the dishwasher.
- Step 2. Clean the filter - Simply rinse the filter under a strong jet of water. If there is any build-up on the filter you can clean it using a mild detergent and soft bristle brush. Make sure to rinse it thoroughly if you are using any detergent.
- Step 3. Reinstall the filter - Once the filter is clear of any dirt or debris, reinstall it back into the dishwasher.
