Fri-Jado Rotisserie Oven Troubleshooting

Fri-Jado Rotisserie Oven Troubleshooting

If you are having trouble when operating your Fri-Jado Rotisserie Oven, we have created a list of troubleshooting issues for you to try. Below you will find some common problems and some solutions for many of the rotisserie oven models. For more help on your specific unit, check back to your manual or contact a local authorized service agent.

Program Doesn’t Start

If the program on your rotisserie oven isn’t starting, it is most likely the doors causing the problem. Check if they are closed correctly before trying to start the program again.

Fan Not Spinning

First try to unplug the unit from the socket and replug it back in. If that does not resolve the problem, open the doors to check the seal. The third solution would be to remove the fan plate and check for any blockages. You can look at our Fri-Jado Rotisserie Oven Cleaning article for preventative maintenance on the fan plates.

Lamp Does Not Light Up

If the lamp is not lighting up, switch it to the OFF setting in the service menu. Check that the door is closed all the way as well. If neither of those options work, the light is most likely defective and will need replacement.

Product is Not Cooked Equally

It can be a problem if chicken or other products are not getting done equally. Try to use a lower cook temperature on a batch of product. If that still doesn’t resolve the issue, you will need to check any fuses and/or the differential switch. If either of those are malfunctioning or broken they will need to be repaired/replaced immediately.

Oven Does Not Heat Up

When the oven is not heating up it could be due to the doors not closing correctly. Try opening and closing them to see if the seal isn’t working. Another solution would be to check the fuse and/or the differential switch. If either of those are not working, that could be the reason the oven will not heat.

Oven Not Clean After Cleaning Cycle

If you have a rotisserie oven that has the automatic cleaning cycle and it is not clean afterwards, there are a few reasons this is happening. Check the amount of detergent. If there was not enough for the full cycle it could cause grime to be left over. You will also want to check the water supply because if there wasn’t enough water or detergent the cycle wouldn’t work.

Another problem could be if the drain is polluted or clogged with debris. Try cleaning the drain to clear it of any debris and pollution. You will want to follow your specific model’s manual on the process for cleaning the drain.

The last option could be the drain valve malfunctioning. Check to see that it is working correctly and if not have it repaired/replaced by a local authorized service agent.

Please contact a local authorized service agent who can help with these specific units and all your commercial kitchen equipment needs.
