Power/Heating Indicator is On or Heating Unevenly
Possible Cause
- One or more circuit breakers are turned off
- One or more elements are defective
Solutions
- Switch the circuit breakers back on
- Replace any broken elements
Red Indicator Light is On or Fryer is Not Heating
Possible Cause
- High temperature limit is tripped
Solutions
- Replace the operating thermostat if it is defective
- Replace the operating contractor if it is defective
Fryer Will Not Start - Green or Red Indicator Not On
Possible Cause
- Power switch is defective
- Safety contactor is defective
- Auxiliary contacts on the thermostat are defective
Solutions
- Replace the defective power switch
- Replace the defective contactor
- Replace the defective operating thermostat
Oil temperature too hot or too cold
Possible Cause
- The thermostat is out of calibration or malfunctioning
Solutions
- Calibrate the thermostat or replace if it cannot be adjusted
