How to Clean a Giles Heated Merchandiser

Follow these steps to properly clean your unit for a sanitized and appealing display of your food:

  • Step 1—Shut down the unit and allow it to cool down.
  • Step 2—Lift open the front curved glass.
  • Step 3—Remove all serving pans and pan support channels, placing them in the sink.
  • Step 4—Remove the sliding glass door by lifting it upward and outward clear of the track, then pull down to remove. Place it in the sink for cleaning.
  • Step 5—Use hot water and dish soap to clean the interior and exterior of your Giles heated merchandiser. For more stubborn messes, use a mild degradable non-toxic degreaser.
  • Step 6—Clean the glass parts with a window cleaner.
  • Step 7—Use a stainless steel cleaner to polish the exterior stainless steel surfaces.
  • Step 8—Clean the serving pans and pan support channels with soap and hot water in the sink.
  • Step 9—Dry them thoroughly and reinstall the sliding door.
  • Step 10—Put the pan support channels and serving pans back in place.
  • Step 11—Close the front curved glass.
