Cleaning for HHC-990 & HHC-998
Daily
- Step 1—Turn off all the controls and disconnect the power. Let the unit cool before cleaning.
- Step 2—Remove all racks and trays, then take them to the sink for cleaning.
- Step 3—Using a damp cleaning cloth with mild soap, wipe down the interior and exterior of the cabinet.
- NOTE—Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool or cleaning agents like chlorine bleach, iodine, bromine or ammonia. These can deteriorate and damage the stainless steel and glass surfaces.
- Step 4—Wipe down the control panel with a damp cloth.
- NOTE—Do not spray the unit with water. This could lead to equipment failure.
- Step 5—Once cleaned and dried, reinstall the racks. Leave the door to the cabinet open partially overnight so that the interior can dry thoroughly.
Weekly
- Step 1—Remove all racks and pans from the heating cabinet.
- Step 2—Open the drain valve and empty the water pan into a shallow pan or in the floor drain.
- Step 3—Remove the concentration ring assembly from the water pan.
- Step 4—Wash the concentration ring either in a sink or in the dishwasher.
- Step 5—Spray the water pan liberally with a concentrated deliming solution. Let it stand for 10 minutes.
- NOTE—Make sure to delime the unit weekly.
- Step 6—Thoroughly scrub the pan with a brush, then flush with water.
- Step 7—After it’s cleaned, reinstall the concentration ring to the water pan.
- Step 8—Reinstall all the racks and fill the water pan with water up to the maximum fill line.
Monthly
- Step 1—Remove both screws that secure the vented panel on the rear of the module. Then remove the panel and clean the vents.
- Step 2—Using a cleaning cloth or sponge, clean the trough. This needs to be done once a month.
Cleaning for HC-5, HC-15, HHC-900, HHC-902, HHC-903, HHC-906 and HHC-908
