Hobart Undercounter Glasswasher Cleaning

Supplies
Warm Water
Hobart glasswashers should be cleaned at least once a day, taking special care to clean out any food residues or other debris at the bottom of the tank. Be sure to avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads that can damage the stainless steel surfaces.
Pre-Cleaning Procedure
- Step 1. Drain the unit - Press the POWER button to drain the unit.
- Step 2. Unplug the glasswasher - In order to minimize electrical hazards, disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet before continuing with the cleaning procedures.
- Step 3. Clean out food soil and other debris - Once the display is no longer lit, open the unit and use a clean cloth to remove any food soil from the bottom of the tank.
Removing and Washing Rinse/Wash Arms & Strainers
- Step 1. Remove the rinse/wash arms and strainers - Next, uninstall the lower rinse arm, lower wash arm, upper rinse arm and lower wash arm, along with the coarse and fine strainers. Refer to the user’s manuals for detailed instructions.
- Step 2. Wash the uninstalled parts - Then, clean the uninstalled parts with warm water, mild detergent and a clean cloth. Be sure to clean the rinse and wash arm nozzles.
- Step 3. Rinse the rinse/wash arms and strainers - Remove any remaining food residues, dirt particles or soap suds with clean, warm water and a clean cloth.
- Step 4. Dry the rinse arms, wash arms and strainers - Dry the uninstalled parts with a clean cloth.
Cleaning the Glasswasher Interior & Exterior
- Step 1. Clean the interior - Wipe the unit interior with warm water, mild detergent and a soft cloth. Remember to not use coarse scrubbing pads such as steel wool.
- Step 2. Rinse the interior - Use a damp cloth to wipe away any remaining food residues or soap suds on the interior surfaces.
- Step 3. Dry the interior - Use a clean cloth to soak up any remaining moisture on the inside of the unit.
- Step 4. Wipe down the exterior - Likewise, use a clean cloth and warm, soapy water to clean the exterior surfaces. Once again, don’t use rough cleaning pads.
- Step 5. Rinse the exterior - Wash away any remaining residues or suds with clean, warm water and a soft cloth.
- Step 6. Dry the outside - Soak up the remaining moisture with a clean, dry cloth.
Cleaning the Control Keypad & Display
- Step 1. Clean the control keypad and display - Use a damp, soapy cloth or sponge to wipe the control keypad and display.
- Step 2. Rinse the display - Wipe away any remaining food soils or soap suds with warm water and a soft cloth.
- Step 3. Dry the display - Soak up any residual moisture on the control keypad and display with a soft cloth.
Finalize the Cleaning Procedure
- Step 1. Reinstall the rinse/wash arms and strainers - Return the rinse arms, wash arms and strainers to the glasswasher. If necessary, refer to the owner’s manual and reverse the uninstallation procedures.
- Step 2. Air dry overnight - Leave the door slightly ajar overnight so that the unit interior can dry completely.
- Step 3. Plug in the unit - Once the machine is fully cleaned and completely dry, plug the power cord into the outlet.
- Step 4. Use the unit normally - Press the ON button and use the glasswasher normally.
