Somebody touched the thermostat and now you need to figure out how to fix whatever settings they changed. Resetting the thermostat doesn’t have to be an all day task on your to-do list. Below we will go over how to reset your IEC thermostat to the factory default settings.
Don’t forget to also check off fan coil cleaning from the to-do list while you are resetting and fixing your IEC thermostat.
Resetting the Thermostat
These resetting steps will reset the thermostat to the default factory settings.
Step 1. Turn off the thermostat - Put the thermostat in the OFF position.
Step 2. Press and hold MODE and DOWN - Press and hold the MODE button and the DOWN button for 5 seconds. All the icons will briefly show up on the display.
Step 3. Press and hold FAN - After the icons disappear, press and hold the FAN button for 5 seconds. The letters Fd (factory default) will briefly appear on the display.
Step 4. Press MODE twice - Press the MODE button twice to return the thermostat to normal operation.
