How Do I Reset My Middleby Marshall Pizza Oven?

Two pizzas going into a convyeor oven - How do I reset my Middleby Marshall pizza oven?

There’s nothing more embarrassing than calling a service repair technician only for them to tell you all you needed to do was hit the reset button. Welp, that was a couple hundred dollars down the drain, but never again!

Sometimes, technology just needs a good old-fashioned reboot to make all your problems go away. But if you’re wondering, "How do I reset my Middleby Marshall pizza oven?" Then, you’ve come to the right place. In this short guide, we’ll walk you through all the ways you can go about resetting your oven. The good news? It doesn’t take more than a minute, and it might save you a buck or two.

Resetting the Temperature Controllers

If the oven blower and conveyor belt are working, but the oven isn’t heating up, you might have to reset the temperature controllers. Luckily this is a fairly easy and straightforward process, requiring only about 30 seconds of your time.

  • Step 1. Time the oven – If your oven doesn’t reach 200℉ (93℃) within 15 minutes of turning it on and the temperature controllers are flashing FAILSF and SET PT, you'll have to reset it.
  • Step 2. Turn the blower switches off – Locate the blower switches at the end of each oven section. Flip them off and wait 30 seconds before turning them back on again.

Resetting the Gas Burner

After turning the heat switch on, the burners should ignite after 45 seconds. On the off chance this does not happen, the red light on the “reset” button will flicker on. If you see this, press the reset button to restart the ignition sequence.

You have 15 minutes from turning on the heat switch to reset the ignition before it locks out. So if you’re hustling and bustling around the kitchen, doing a thousand tasks in preparation for the start-of-shift flurry only to come back to find the pizza oven burners have failed to ignite, check your clock.

If you realize it’s been longer than 15 minutes and you’ve already frantically pressed the reset switch more times than you’d like to admit, the burners have yet to show signs of life and the clock on the wall is slowly but surely ticking down what’s left of your time and your patience, don’t worry, there’s a quick fix.

All you need to do is turn the heat switch off and on again before trying to reset your Middleby Marshall pizza oven

Resetting the Conveyor Belt & Motor

Sometimes, the odd thunderstorm or conveyor jam will cause a power surge that trips the circuit breaker. No big deal. Just turn off your unit’s main power switch, locate the circuit routed to your pizza oven and flip it on and off about 2-3 times. If this doesn't solve the problem, you might have to call an authorized service technician. But at least you’ll know you did everything you could within your managerial powers before taking out the checkbook.
