How to Clean a Perfect Fry Fryer

When it comes to frying, Perfect Fry some of the most innovative equipment in the foodservice industry. Both the fully- and semi-automatic models have a small footprint, and they're designed to fry foods quickly and without leaving a harsh odor. Cleaning and routine maintenance helps keep these pieces of equipment in top shape. Below are instructions for how to clean a Perfect Fry fryer properly.
Daily Cleaning Procedure
Below are steps for cleaning a Perfect Fry fryer on a daily basis. Before you start, make sure you turn off and unplug the unit. Do not touch the oil vat, oil and heater module until it cools down.
- Step 1. Wipe down the basket – Use paper towel to wipe the basket to remove any food particles, residue and crumbs.
- Step 2. Wipe down the inside door & spill tray – Use clean paper towel to clean the inside door into the spill tray. Wipe down any oil, crumbs and other residue.
- Step 3. Clean the exterior – With a soft cloth and stainless steel cleaner, clean the exterior surfaces of the fryer. Don't use abrasive cleaners because they can damage the stainless steel finish.
- Step 4. Check the oil levels – On the back of the vat, check that the oil is up to the cold line. If it's not, add the necessary amount of oil. Always replace cooking oil at least once a week. Replace it more often if you cook more frequently.
Weekly Cleaning Procedure
The following instructions are for cleaning a Perfect Fry fryer on a weekly basis. As you would on a daily basis, make sure you turn off and unplug the unit before you begin. Do not touch the oil vat, oil and heater module until it cools down.
- Step 1. Detach the front panel – Open the front panel, lifting and turning the latches. When opened, lift the panel off its hinges. Clean it using a soft cloth, warm water and mild dish soap.
- Step 2. Remove the air filter cartridge – Take out the air filter cartridge and set it aside. Do not wash it out.
- Step 3. Clean the grease filter tray – Remove the entire grease filter tray from the cabinet. Take out the filter from the tray and drain the oil. Clean the both the filter and tray in hot water and mild dish soap. Dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
- Step 4. Dispose oil from the vat – Pour out cooking oil from the vat into an empty container. Check local regulations for disposing oil or contact an authorized company for proper disposal.
- Step 5. Clean the basket lift, oil vat and heater module – Take out the basket lift, oil vat and heater module from the fryer. Use a spray-on cleaner and enclose the parts in a plastic bag for at least one hour or overnight, depending on how dirty they are. Clean each part hot water and mild dish soap.
- Step 6. Rinse the basket lift, oil vat and heater module – To properly rinse these parts, use a solution of two parts warm water and one part white vinegar. Vinegar is essential because it helps neutralize soap residue, which can turn oil dark and hinder its performance.
- Step 7. Clean the connector terminals – Use rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab to clean the male and female terminals on the connectors. Make sure to not spray the male connector.
