How to Clean a Zumex Multifruit Centrifugal Juicer
When it comes to juicers, the Zumex Multifruit Juicer is small but fierce. Ideal for juice bars and cocktail bars, this compact machine is capable of making a half gallon of juice per minute from a wide variety of fruits and veggies. In order to perform at its peak, this commercial juicer needs to be cleaned and maintained regularly. Below are instructions for how to clean a Zumex Multifruit Centrifugal Juicer properly.
Supplies You’ll Need
- Dish soap
- Warm water
- Soft cloths
- Soft-bristle brush
- Spanner
Cleaning the Extractor & Machine
The steps below are for cleaning the extractor daily:
- Step 1. Disconnect the power – Put the rear switch to “0” and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Step 2. Remove the handle – Remove the extractor’s handle by lifting up from the front.
- Step 3. Remove the cover – Remove the extractor cover by lifting upward and separating it from the peel bucket.
- Step 4. Disassemble the anti-drip tap and coaster – Carefully disassemble both the anti-drip tap and coaster from the machine.
- Step 5. Disassemble the grater-filter and tank assembly – To disassemble the grater-filter and stainless-steel tank assembly, pull the bucket upward. It should pull apart easily.
- Step 6. Clean the disassembled components – The disassembled parts are dishwasher safe. If you notice a significant buildup of dried-on pulp on these components, soak them in warm water and dish soap. Once the pulp softens, you can place the parts in the dishwasher.
- Step 7. Clean the exterior – Use a soft cloth soaked in warm water and dish soap to clean the outside surfaces. Makes sure to also clean the rubber areas that support the stainless-steel tank.
- Step 8. Rinse the exterior – Use a separate soft cloth dampened in warm water to rinse the exterior. Make sure to remove all traces of soap.
- Step 9. Disassemble and clean the grating disk – Take apart the grating disk from the filter and clean it thoroughly. To reassemble, tighten the nut firmly using a spanner.
- Step 10. Reassemble the disassembled parts – Once they’re clean and dry, reassemble the disassembled parts following steps 2-5 in reverse order. When putting the grater-filter back on, correctly mount it by pushing down firmly as far as it goes.
- Step 11. Restart the machine – Put the selector and rear power switch on the “0” position. Plug the machine back in. After restoring power, switch the machine on by putting the rear power switch on “1.”
Cleaning the Filter
The filter should always be pristine and without heavy buildup of pulp and remnants. Keep it clean by soaking overnight once or twice a week in any cleaning solution. Then brushing it with a small-bristle brush before drying and putting it back on the machine.
