How to Operate a Merrychef Connex Series
What is more frustrating than not being able to run a microwave oven when you need it? Luckily, we can help you with running your oven. Below we will take you through how to operate a Merrychef Connex series oven, going through essentials like startup, cooking and more. That way you can use it with ease and get back to other important kitchen tasks.
The following guide is designed for the Merrychef Connex Series Microwave Combination Oven, Connex12 and Connex16.
Startup and Shutdown
- Turning on the oven - Switch the microwave oven on using the power button. Make sure to wait for the software to fully load before operating.
- Shutting down the oven - It is essential to power down the machine at the end of the day. Press the same power button to shut off the machine. Leave the appliance door open to let moisture escape throughout the evening.
Cooking Procedure
- Step 1. Choose a cooking profile - Start by choosing a cooking profile or entering a new cooking profile into the oven.
- Step 2. Following cooking prompts - After selecting the cooking profile, the appliance will prompt you on the display. Follow these to continue.
- Step 3. Put food in oven - Open the microwave oven door and place the food in the microwave. Firmly close the door.
- Step 4. Start the cooking cycle - Start the cooking process and allow it to reach the end of the program to finish.
- Step 5. Follow prompts - When the cooking process is finished the machine will make an audible sound. Follow the prompts on the display to continue.
- Step 6. Remove food - After the prompts, you can open the oven door and remove the food. Close the door and you are finished.
Creating a Cooking Profile
- Step 1. Enter recipe creation mode - Press the chef hat button from the home screen to get into the recipe creation mode.
- Step 2. Change temperature - To change the set temperature, press the box under the temperature icon.
- Step 3. Enter desired temperature - Use the keypad to type in your desired temperature and then press the green tick to confirm.
- Step 4. Select cooking time - If you want to change the cook time, press the box under the clock icon.
- Step 5. Enter desired cooking time - Use the keypad to enter in your desired cooking time and then press the green tick to confirm.
- Step 6. Select fan mode - Press the box under the fan icon to start changing the fan speed.
- Step 7. Enter desired fan speed - Use the keypad to type in your desired fan speed and then press the green tick.
- Step 8. Add additional notes (optional) - Press the plus sign button to enter an instructional note on a stage line if needed.
- Step 9. Save cooking profile - Select the save symbol to save the cooking profile to the cookbook.
- Step 10. Complete recipe card details - After selecting the save symbol, a recipe card will come up. Fill out the title, photo and other sections to help identify the recipe in the cookbook.
