Finding replacement parts for a unit is a breeze when you know where to find the serial number and how to read it. Whalen creates a variety of high-end units, but with any unit, sometimes you need to replace a worn part. To make sure you buy the right one, learn how to read a Whalen company serial number.

Model & Serial Number Location

When trying to find the model nameplate, check on the inside of the front panel. Here you’ll find a silver plate that will tell you the model number and serial number of your specific unit. This allows you to find the correct replacement parts to repair your unit.

How to Read a Whalen Company Serial Number

1960 – 1999

  • These numbers represent the two digits of the year and the two to three digit job number: 6810 (Year 1968, Job No. 10)

2000 – 2009

  • These numbers represent the two first digits of the year and the three digit job number: 20100 (Year 2000, Job No. 100)

2010 – Present

  • These numbers represent the four digit year and three digit job number: 2014052 (Year 2014, Job No. 52)
