How to Open an Ecolab Dispenser
Opening these dispensers properly is very important. If the unit is opened incorrectly, it can be damaged and no longer open or stay securely closed. So, in order to avoid replacing the whole dispenser, use the proper opening procedure.
Ecolabs actually makes their dispensers easy to open. On the sides of the unit, there are two latches. Push on them simultaneously, and then the unit should open. The cover will fold downward and stay connected by the bottom hinge. It’s important to also be careful of the cover while it’s hanging open. If it were to get bumped, it could be broken off the hinge.
How to Refill an Ecolab Hand Sanitizer Dispenser
Before starting these steps, be sure to have a refill cartridge that matches the specific unit you’re refilling.
- Open the unit - Press on the two latches on the sides of the unit to open the cover
- Remove the empty cartridge - Slide the cartridge out from the top of the unit
- Install the new cartridge - Slide the new cartridge into place from the top of the unit
- Close the cover - Lift the cover back up to close the unit
- Note: Make sure you hear the latches shut or the cover won’t stay on
- Dispose of the empty cartridge - The empty cartridge can be thrown away as it’s no longer needed
