How to Set a Honeywell Digital Thermostat
To change to a different setting on the Honeywell T6 thermostat, press the Mode button to cycle to the next System mode. Cycle through the modes until the required System mode is displayed and leave it to activate. The available options depends on the model and settings but might include:
- Auto
- Heat
- Cool
- Em Heat
- Off
Fan Operation Settings
Changing the fan settings is just as easy as changing the System mode. Just press the Fan button to cycle to the next Fan mode. Cycle through the modes until the desired Fan mode is displayed and leave it to activate. The available modes depends on the model and settings but might include:
- Auto - Fan runs only when heating or cooling system is on.
- On - Fan always on.
- Circ - Fan runs randomly about 33% of the time.
Setting the Time and Date
- Step 1 - Press the Menu button on the thermostat.
- Step 2 - Press the + or - button to go to TIME, then press Select.
- Step 3 - Press the + or - button to choose between a 12 or 24 hour clock. Press Select.
- Step 4 - Use the + or - button to adjust the hour, then press Select.
- Step 5 - Use the + or - button to adjust the minutes, then press Select.
- Step 6 - Press the + or - button to go to DATE, then press Select.
- Step 7 - Use the + or - button to adjust the year, then press Select.
- Step 8 - Use the + or - button to adjust the month, then press Select.
- Step 9 - Use the + or - button to adjust the day, then press Select to save and exit.
