How to Take Apart and Clean a Blendtec Commercial Blender

After making acai bowls and protein packed smoothies, knowing how to take apart and clean a Blendtec commercial blender is essential. From daily cleaning to learning blender motor base cleaning, we will teach you the basics so you can get your unit looking like new. The following guide is for the Blendtec connoisseur 825 and the stealth 885 blender models.

Daily Cleaning

These steps can be used after the blender is used:

  • Step 1. Add 1 cup of warm water and 1-2 drops of detergent to the blender.
  • Step 2. Secure the lid to the blender and place it onto the motor base.
  • Step 3. Hold the pulse button for 10 seconds.
  • Step 4. Remove the blender and rinse it thoroughly with warm water.

Blender Motor Base Cleaning

The following steps will teach you how to take apart and clean a Blendtec commercial blender:

  • Step 1. Check that the blender is unplugged before starting.
  • Step 2. Wipe the plastic housing, gaskets, metal top and sound enclosure with a clean, damp cloth.
  • Step 3. Use a cotton swab or toothpick to clean the drive socket.
  • Step 4. For stealth models open the sound enclosure lid and use both hands to pull outward on the lid at the pivot joints. For connoisseur models, open the sound enclosure lid and lift up to remove the lid. The sound enclosure base can be removed once the motor housing is removed from the base of the counter top.
  • Step 5. Wipe down the sound enclosure with a soft cloth and reinsert it back into the blender.
