How to Use an Antunes Universal Toaster
Antunes toasters provide nice and hot breakfast and lunch products when used properly. Learn how to use an Antunes universal toaster to get the perfect toasted muffins and buns with ease. This guide covers instructions specifically for the Antunes UTX-200 models.
Antunes Universal Toaster Operation Instructions
- Step 1. Turn the power switch on. The unit will click three times. This is normal.
- Step 2. The unit start up mode will conduct a 20 second system check.
- Step 3. Once the system check is done, the unit will display the Muffin Wait message. This means the unit is warming up and will take about 20 minutes to reach the right temperature.
- Step 4. After warmed up, the unit displays the Muffin Ready message.
- Step 5. To switch to Bagel Mode, select the Bagel selector button.
How to Switch from Breakfast to Lunch Settings
- Step 1. Press the UT Breakfast/Lunch button once to make the switch to Lunch Mode.
- Step 2. Set the bun thickness compression control knob to 3. This is used ONLY in Lunch Mode.
- Step 3. Let the unit warm up. The display message will read Muffin Ready / Lunch Wait.
- Step 4. Once the desired temperature is reached, the display message will read Muffin Ready/Press UT for Lunch.
- Step 5. Press the UT Breakfast/Lunch to start Lunch Mode.
- Step 6. Once you see the Lunch Ready message displayed, you’ll be ready to use the unit for lunch items.
How to Toast Muffins or Bagels
- Step 1. Place the muffin or bagel with the cut side facing up into the back opening of the unit.
- Step 2. If toasting crowns or heels, place the cut side facing forward into the top of the unit. Crowns should be put into the right slot and heels into the left slot.
Adjusting the Toasting Quality
- Step 1. Open the front cover to access the control panel.
- Step 2. Press and release the ADJUST button.
- Step 3. Use the PREV and NEXT buttons to adjust the toasting quality to lighter or darker respectively.
- Note: Pressing the PREV button decreases the toasting darkness and pressing the NEXT button increases toasting darkness.
- Step 4. Test one or two buns to verify that the product is toasted to the desired quality.
- Step 5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 as necessary.
- Step 6. Press the PRGM button when the adjustment is complete to return to Ready Mode.
- Step 7. Press the PRGM button to exit.
Purging Products from the Toaster
From the Front of the Unit
- Step 1. With the unit in READY or WAIT mode, open the front cover.
- Step 2. Press and hold the NEXT arrow button until the product is purged from the unit.
- Step 3. Once the item is purged, release the NEXT button and the unit will return to normal operating speeds.
From the Rear of the Unit
- Step 1. With the unit in READY or WAIT mode, press and hold both of the Muffin/Bagel selector buttons together to purge product from the unit.
- Step 2. Once the product is purged, release both Muffin/Bagel selector buttons.
