The Lancer Breeze and Presto beer dispensers and chillers are ideal for any restaurant, bar, brewery or commercial food establishment. They make beer keg tapping and serving easy, even on the busiest nights. To make sure the beer you’re serving is not only tasty but safe to drink, it’s vital to regularly clean your Breeze and Presto units. Learn the daily and monthly cleaning procedures for each Lancer beer dispenser model with our helpful guide.

Lancer Breeze Beer Dispenser Cleaning

Daily Cleaning

  • Step 1—Make a cleaning solution by mixing 1 ounce of non-abrasive detergent with 2 gallons of clean, potable water. Prepare at least 5 gallons of cleaning solution.
  • Step 2—Clean the top cover and all exterior stainless steel surfaces with the cleaning solution.
  • Step 3—Remove the drip tray.
  • Step 4—Dump any beer and water from the drip tray and wash it with the cleaning solution.
  • Step 5—Wipe all splash areas clean with a damp cloth soaked in the cleaning solution.
  • Step 6—Remove the beer tap by turning the union nut clockwise.
  • Step 7—Tilt the beer tap and run the cleaning solution through it.
  • Step 8—Reinstall the beer tap.
  • Step 9—Place the drip tray back in place.

Ice Bin Cleaning

You should clean the ice bin upon start-up and on a monthly basis.

  • Step 1—Make a cleaning solution by mixing 1 ounce of non-abrasive detergent with 2 gallons of clean, potable water. Prepare at least 5 gallons of cleaning solution.
  • Step 2—Make at least 5 gallons of sanitizing solution by following the manufacturer’s instructions and recommendations. The sanitizing solution must provide 50-100 PPM of chlorine.
  • Step 3—Remove the top cover and drip tray.
  • Step 4—Using a clean cloth or a soft brush and the cleaning solution, clean all sides and surfaces of the ice bin and aluminum casting.
  • Step 5—Wipe down all exterior surfaces of the unit with the cleaning solution.
  • Step 6—Rinse away the cleaning solution with hot water.
  • Step 7—Put on protective gloves, then soak a clean cloth into the sanitizing solution. Wash all sides and surfaces of the ice bin and aluminum casting.
  • Step 8—Wipe down all exterior surfaces of the unit with the sanitizing solution except for any labels.
  • Step 9—While wearing gloves, reassemble all removable parts.
  • Step 10—Fill the ice bin with ice and place the top cover back on.

Lancer Presto Beer Dispenser Cleaning

  • Step 1—Vent the tank by pulling the relief valve ring.
  • Step 2—Make 5L of sanitizing solution per the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Step 3—Put a bucket underneath the tap.
  • Step 4—Connect the keg coupler to the cleanout tank.
  • Step 5—Open the tap and let the product come out until the sanitizing solution flows out. Once the sanitizing solution comes out, close the tap.
  • Step 6—Let the sanitizing solution stand per the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Step 7—After the sanitizing solution has sat for an appropriate amount of time, dispense some of it through the beer line. Then wash the tap with the supplied cleaning brush. Keep running the sanitizing solution through the unit by turning the tap on and off to remove build-up.
  • Step 8—Disconnect the keg coupler and vent the cleanout tank. Rinse thoroughly with clean, potable water.
  • Step 9—Connect the keg coupler and purge the chiller with water until it runs clear.
  • Step 10—Connect the unit to the keg and open the tap until product begins to dispense.
