Master-Bilt’s line of ice cream dipping cabinets makes serving ice cream a breeze. With the ability to hold multiple flavors and keep them at the perfect chilly temperature, these dipping cabinets are ideal for any ice cream shop, gelato parlor or concession stand. Since your units see a lot of use, it’s important to thoroughly clean them on a regular basis. Learn how to do so correctly with our guide below.

This how-to guide is applicable for Master-Bilt dipping cabinet models DC-4D, DC-6D, DC-8D, DC-10D and DC-12D.

  • Step 1—Wipe down the exterior of the unit with warm water and a mild detergent.
  • Step 2—Wipe down the exterior to rinse with water and a soft cloth.
  • Step 3—Remove all frozen product from the interior and place them in another refrigerated space.
  • Step 4—Unplug the unit.
  • Step 5—Remove the floor drain plug and garden hose-fitting cap.
  • Step 6—Attach a garden hose to the drain in the unit and route the other end to a floor drain. Let the unit defrost.
  • Step 7—Once defrosted, clean the interior with a mixture of warm water and mild detergent. 
  • Step 8—Thoroughly rinse the interior with water, then dry with a soft cloth.
  • Step 9—Disconnect the garden hose and reattach the hose-fitting cap and floor drain plug.
  • Step 10—Plug the unit back in and let it come back up to its usual operating temperature. Once it’s reached its set temperature, place the frozen food product back into the cabinet.
