What is better than a hot slice of pizza when you want to order out? Pizza ovens are an essential staple for commercial kitchens and they see rigorous use and messes throughout the dinner rush. Not cleaning out the unit and maintaining them could create some serious cheese or food build-up, resulting in the machine breaking down. That’s why below we go through Nemco countertop pizza oven preventative maintenance to ensure that your unit can stay pristine.
The following guide is designed for Nemco 6205 (120 Volt) & 6205 (240 Volt) countertop pizza oven models.
Pizza Oven Maintenance & Cleaning
Units shouldn’t be flooded or immersed in water.
- Step 1. Disconnect from power - Turn the unit off and unplug it from any power source. Wait 30 minutes for the unit to cool down before continuing.
- Step 2. Clean interior - Wipe down the interior and remove any excess food debris.
- Step 3. Clean stones - Using a dry cloth only, clean the pizza oven stones. Don’t use any water on the stone surface to prevent damage.
- Step 4. Clean exterior - Clean the exterior of the unit with a stainless steel cleaner, then dry it with a dry cloth.
