Nemco Food Warmer Preventative Maintenance & Cleaning

To keep it working as it should, performing preventative maintenance tasks like regular cleanings is necessary. Not only does cleaning keep your Nemco warmer sanitary, but it also helps maintain its functionality and efficiency. Learn how to correctly clean your Nemco food warmer with our easy-to-follow guide.
This cleaning guide is applicable for models 6055A, 6055A-C, 6055A-CW and 6055A-43.
Supplies
- Cleaning cloth
- Cleaning chemicals (optional)
- Vinegar
- Water
Cleaning Instructions
- Step 1—Unplug the unit and let the warmer cool down before you begin to clean.
- Step 2—Empty the hot water carefully from the warmer’s sink.
- Step 3—Using a clean, damp cloth, wipe the interior of the sink.
- NOTE—Do not immerse the unit in water, and do not clean with a water jet.
- Step 4—If you choose to use a chemical cleaner, make sure that they’re rinsed away completely with water immediately after use.
- Step 5—If scale is present, you can use 1 tsp. of white vinegar mixed with 1 cup of water. Let the mixture sit in the sink for a short time, then empty and rinse the sink. Repeat if necessary.
