Nemco Hot Dog Steamer Cleaning

It is important to note that you should never immerse the steamer in water or liquid. Also avoid splashing water onto the controls.

  • Step 1. Disconnect power - Turn the unit off and unplug it from any power source.
  • Step 2. Remove food product - Remove any food product and allow the steamer to cool before continuing.
  • Step 3. Drain water - Set a large container under the drain tube, making sure it is large enough. Turn the knob on top of the drain valve to allow the steamer to drain.
  • Step 4. Remove parts - Remove the sliding glass doors, then take out the bun rack, bun tray and hot dog rack.
  • Step 5. Wash removed parts - Using hot, soapy water wash the bun rack, glass doors, hot dog rack and bun tray, then set aside to dry.
  • Step 6. Wipe interior - Take a damp cloth and wipe down the interior of the unit. Make sure not to flood it with water.
