Proluxe Dough Press Troubleshooting

Proluxe DoughPro - Proluxe Dough Press Cleaning

When a Proluxe dough press is having issues, there’s a number of things you can do to properly troubleshoot the problem before contacting an authorized technician. This guide will walk you through how to troubleshoot a Proluxe dough press when it isn’t working properly. The guide focuses specifically on the DP2000 models like the DP2010. They are also referred to as the DoughPro units. 

Unit is Not Turning On

  • The power cord is not plugged in - Plug in the unit.
  • The unit is not turned on - Turn on the unit.
  • The circuit breaker is tripped - Reset the circuit breaker.
  • The transformer is damaged - Have an authorized technician replace the transformer. 
  • The controller is receiving voltage - Have an authorized technician replace the controller. 

Digital Controller’s LEDs are Scrambled or Erratic

  • A component on the digital controller is damaged - Have an authorized technician replace the digital controller.
  • The control needs to be reset - Reset the control by unplugging the unit while it’s on. Then wait for 1 minute to plug it back in and press the “power” button. 

Display Shows PROB

  • The sensor has lost its continuity - Contact an authorized technician. 

Display shows Relay

  • The relay on the switched side isn’t opening to regulate temperature - Have an authorized technician replace the relay. 

Beeper isn’t Functioning Properly

  • The beeper on the digital control board is failing - Have an authorized technician replace the digital controller board.

Heater Platen is Overheating

  • Controller is not working properly as indicated by the controller’s heat-on LED not being lit - Have an authorized technician replace the relay.
  • Sensor is giving a false reading on the voltage - Have an authorized technician replace the sensor.

Dough Doesn’t Have a Consistent Thickness

  • Upper platen needs to be adjusted for a level press - Adjust the adjustment bolts with an open end wrench.
