Sammic Food Processor Troubleshooting & Error Codes
Malfunctioning equipment and error codes can be frustrating during busy working hours. Sammic food processors are an essential part of a commercial kitchen and having them in top working condition is vital to productivity. Even these machines may run into problems or malfunctions so it is important to know how to solve this fast. Below we have a list of different troubleshooting issues and error codes, plus any solutions that might help getting your equipment back to work.
Machine Not Working - Display Not Lit
If nothing is showing on the display and the machine isn’t working you should first check that the machine is plugged into a power source. Check that the outlet works and that the circuit breaker isn’t tripped. If none of that is the problem then it is either one of the following:
- Control board is burnt - A burnt out control board will stop the display from working. Contact a service provider to handle the issue and get a resolution.
- Keypad is disconnected - Sometimes the keypad can disconnect and therefore cause the keypad and display to stop working. You will need to contact a service provider for further assistance on the issue.
Machine Not Working - Display is Lit
Error codes will show on the display if the machine is not working but the keypad still does.
- D1 error code - When the display has 2 dashes and shows “SE” when you press the On key (5), press and hold the On key (5) to get the error message. For a “d1” error, the bayonet is most likely unlocked. If the bayonet (locking mechanism) is unlocked the machine will not work unless it is locked. If the bayonet is locked then the bayonet sensor could be broken. Call an authorized service agent to provide further assistance.
- D2 error code - When the display has 2 dashes and shows “SE” when you press the On key (5), press and hold the On key (5) to get the error message. If it shows the “d2” error code, this means there is a problem with the food processor attachment. Check that the attachment is installed correctly; the machine will not function if it isn’t properly attached. Check that the bowl and lid are on correctly as well. If it is installed correctly then the problem is most likely a sensor issue and will need more assistance. You will need to contact a service agent to assist any further.
- E1/E2 error code - If either the “e1” or “e2” error codes are displayed, try resetting by disconnecting the processor from power for 3-5 minutes. Reconnect the machine, and if the unit still has the error after restarting, you will need to contact a service agent to resolve the issue further.
Keypad Not Responding
Usually a functional keypad will beep when you press any of the keys. If the keys are not beeping it could be defective or a complex issue. This issue will require you to contact a service provider to look at the food processor.
