Star Manufacturing Warmer Maintenance

Wells-Bloomfield, a brand of Star Manufacturing, has a long history of producing equipment for commercial kitchens. Founded in 1920, Wells was a pioneer in the electric cooking field. Founder George Wells invented a more efficient form of waffle baker, and the company was launched into the cooking appliance space - where they've stayed as a premier name since.
In the 1980s, Bloomfield and Wells were brought under the same corporate umbrella. Bloomfield was an innovator in the foodservice realm, with everything from coffee brewers to smallwares in their lineup.
Food warmers are one of the most popular items available in the Wells-Bloomfield portfolio. If you've ever eaten out, it's likely you've eaten food prepared or stored with food warming equipment from this company.
Wells Food Warmers
There are a number of warmers available from Wells - ranging from mounted units to units with anywhere between one and five pans - even units that can function as both a hot or cold pan. What do they have in common? Parts Town offers genuine OEM replacement parts for all these Wells food warmers!
Wells Food Warmer Maintenance
Daily and weekly cleaning regimens are important for your warmer. Cleaning stainless steel is easy, especially with products created for the purpose.
Installation Notes
1. Follow all directions very carefully - the food warmer can get very hot, and that can present a danger if not installed properly. Make sure the counter where the warmer sits is able to handle the temperatures and placement of the warmer.
2. Verify that you have the right instructions and the necessary parts for installation. Your manual and parts list will help you make sure you have everything you need to install your warmer.
Operating Notes
1. Most of the warmers from Wells will be able to operate in either Wet or Dry mode. Wet is the recommended setting - as the water helps with consistent food heating. Dry mode can heat unevenly.
2. If running in Wet mode, add warm water before turning the warmer on. Having warm water in place will help heat the unit faster than cold water.
3. Do not place food directly into the warmer - use an inset. This prevents burned food and damage to the equipment.
4. Do not place ice in the warmer pan - this will cause problems in the warmer and won't be covered under your warranty.
