Turbo Air Prep Table Troubleshooting

In the unlikely event that you're noticing your Turbo Air refrigerated prep table isn’t behaving as it should, it’s vital that you find the issue and solve it quickly. Take a look through our guide below to find the possible causes and solutions to these common troubleshooting issues.

This troubleshooting guide is applicable for Super Deluxe Series pizza prep, M3 Series and Countertop Salad Table models like CTST-1200-N, MST-48-N and TPR-93SD-N.

Problem: Cooler is freezing food products

Possible Cause

  • Setting on thermostat is too low

Solution

  • Adjust the thermostat setting higher

Problem: Unit isn’t refrigerating at all

Possible Cause

  • Unit isn’t plugged into power source

Solution

  • Plug the unit in

Problem: Unit is plugged in but not refrigerating well

Possible Causes

  • Unit is too close to heating source or in direct sunlight
  • Unit contains too much food or hot food
  • Unit door is opened too frequently or left open for too long
  • Improper temperature setting
  • Condenser is clogged

Solutions

  • Reposition the unit away from heat-producing sources and/or out of direct sunlight
  • Only store a proper amount chilled food items
  • Make sure doors are closed when not in use and open as needed
  • Adjust the temperature setting
  • Clean the condenser or have it inspected by an authorized service technician

Problem: Unit is making a loud noise

Possible Causes

  • Unit is leveled incorrectly, or on an uneven surface or weak surface 
  • Backside of the unit is too close to the wall

Solutions

  • Make sure unit is on a safe, level surface and move as needed
  • Move away from wall 

Problem: Water droplets are forming on the interior of unit

Possible Causes

  • Unit door is opened too frequently or left open for too long
  • Damp food is being stored in unit

Solutions

  • Make sure doors are closed when not in use and open as needed
  • Dry off any recently-washed or damp food products before storing

Problem: Door isn’t closing tightly

Possible Causes

  • Door is bent or damaged
  • Unit isn’t level
  • Door gasket has come off, is damaged or worn

Solutions

  • Replace door
  • Level the unit or move it to a level surface
  • Reposition door gasket. If it’s worn or damaged, replace it as needed.
