TurboChef i3 & i5 Cleaning Instructions
Daily maintenance is a must to keep your speed oven running efficiently. Otherwise crumbs and debris will pile up and leave it unsafe for the next batch of product. These TurboChef i3 and i5 cleaning instructions can help get your unit tidied up at the end of a shift and ready for the next day.
These instructions apply to both the i3 and i5 models.
Supplies
- Cloth
- TurboChef oven cleaner
- Nylon scrub pad
- TurboChef oven guard
How to Clean a TurboChef i3 & i5
- Step 1. Power down the unit - Turn off the oven and leave the door open so it can fully cool down before cleaning.
- Step 2. Disassemble the unit - Remove the lower jetplate, lower air diverter, lower front panel, drain pan and wire racks.
- Note: Not all i5 models require you to remove the panel to access the drain pan.
- Step 3. Clean components - Using a scrub pad and Turbochef oven cleaner, to clean the wire rack, lower jetplate and lower air diverter.
- Step 4. Rinse components - Rinse and dry the cleaned components with separate cloths.
- Step 5. Clean remaining components - To clean the drain pan and front panel, wipe them down with a damp cloth. Make sure to let them air dry after.
- Step 6. Clean the interior - Use a scrub pad and TurboChef oven cleaner to clean the oven interior.
- Note: Don’t spray the cleaner directly into the cavity or scrub the door gasket.
- Step 7. Rinse the interior - Using separate cloths, rinse and dry the oven cavity.
- Step 8. Apply oven guard - Use a soft cloth to apply TurboChef oven guard on the oven interior.
- Note: Don’t spray the cleaner directly into the cavity or apply the guard on the door gasket.
- Step 9. Reassemble the unit - Reinstall the lower jetplate, lower air diverter, lower front panel, drain pan and wire racks in the reverse order they were removed.
- Step 10. Clean the exterior - Use a damp cloth to clean the oven exterior.
- Step 11. Weekly cleaning - Once a week, remove the air filter to clean it.
- Step 12. Clean the filter - To clean the filter, rinse it with warm water and let it air dry fully before reinstalling.
- Note: Don’t use a water jet for rinsing.
Step 13. Reinstall the filter - Once the filter is dry, reinstall it by sliding it into it’s housing.
