Cleaning your Vollrath slicer is a crucial part of its preventative maintenance schedule. Your slicer unit will need to be cleaned daily after each use to help ensure it continues to slice tomatoes and more with ease and precision. Luckily though, cleaning your Vollrath slicer is a relatively quick and simple process. Learn how to properly clean your Vollrath slicer with this handy guide.

This guide will cover cleaning instructions for the TomatoPro, EconoPro,Tomato King and InstaCut 3.5 slicer series.  

How to Clean a TomatoPro, EconoPro and Tomato King Slicer

  • Step 1—Open the pusher head as much as possible by retracting the handle.
  • Step 2—Rinse the slicer thoroughly with hot water. You can also immerse the slicer in warm, soapy water before rinsing. Do not put your slicer in a dishwasher.
    • NOTE—Use caution when around the blade of the slicer during cleaning. Do not wipe across blades or use scrub pads while cleaning.
  • Step 3—Once the unit’s clean, let it air dry. 
  • Step 4—Lubricate all sliding parts with an OEM-approved mineral oil after each use.
    • NOTE—Do not use cooking oil as this can cause permanent damage.

How to Clean an InstaCut 3.5 Slicer

  • Step 1—Rinse the slicer thoroughly with hot water.
    • NOTE—Use caution when around the blade of the slicer during cleaning. Do not wipe across blades or use scrub pads while cleaning.
  • Step 2—Clean the blade assembly with a strong water pressure through the blades from the unsharpened side. Use a nylon cleaning brush to push out any stubborn food particles.
  • Step 3—Once the unit’s clean, let it air dry.
