The ML and serial numbers for your Vulcan Hart unit are crucial pieces of information to have at-hand. These numbers can be used to find replacement parts, register for warranty coverage, and provide to authorized service technicians for maintenance. However, finding out where the serial and ML numbers are might seem tricky. Not to worry, though, as we’ve broken down where to find these numbers on your Vulcan Hart unit. Note: ML numbers and serial numbers are two different types of identifiers for your unit. Both are equally important to know.

ML and Serial Number Locations

Your Vulcan Hart unit’s serial, ML and even model number can be found on a data tag that’s located in a number of areas on your unit. The location of the data tag is dependent on the type of equipment you have. Below, we break down the various locations based on equipment-type:

Heavy-Duty Ranges & Broilers

Location is dependent on the specific model, but on most ranges/broilers, the ML or serial number can be found behind the kick panel. If it’s not there, check within the cabinet, on the manifold cover or on the inside of the burner box.

Ovens

Located on the lower back corner of the cabinet.

Medium-Duty Ranges

Located around the kick panel, usually on the inside.

Fryers

Located on the inside of the fryer door.

Griddles, Broilers, Salamanders/Cheesemelters

Located either on the left or right side panel, or under the crumb tray. 

Braising Pans

Location is dependent on the specific model and varies greatly:

  • VECTS/VECTS16—Lower right outside corner of console
  • VG or VE Series—Left front edge of the table top
  • VGCTS16—Right side panel

Steam Kettles

Location is dependent on the specific model and varies greatly:

  • Gas and Electric Full Jacket Steam Kettles—Inside the front cover on the lower left
  • Counter Top Kettles—Back of the unit
  • VEL or VEP—Lower skirt behind the component housing
  • VELT—Lower right outside on the corner of the console
  • VGL—Lower right side

Steamers

Location is dependent on the specific model and varies greatly:

  • VHL, VHX, VS3616 and MHB—Inside base cabinet door
  • C24EA3 & C24EA5—Back panel
  • C24EA6 & C24EA10—Front of the unit
  • C24GA6 & C24GA10—Left edge of the tabletop
  • VL2 & VL3—Boiler access door
  • VPX3 & VPX5—Left side panel
  • VSC2 & VSC3—Inside base cabinet door
  • VSX24, VSX36 and VSX42—Inside base cabinet door
  • VSX5, VSX7 and VSX10—Right side panel
  • C24EO3 & C24EO5—Front of unit in the lower right hand corner
