This guide is applicable for riser fan coil units like the W802, W202, W204, W804 and W16022.

Unit Isn’t Working

  • Incorrect thermostat settings—Check that the thermostat is programmed for your specific unit, and that the fan speed is either on “High” or “Low.”
  • Unit isn’t plugged into power supply—Make sure that the unit is plugged in.
  • Unit isn’t turned on—Check that the service disconnect switch is in the “ON” position.
  • Wrong thermostat is installed—Make sure that the thermostat model is adequate for your specific unit. If you have a remote thermostat, check that the field wiring connections are correct.

Fan Isn’t Circulating Air Properly

  • Fan is obstructed/can’t move—Check for any blockages or significant debris that’s preventing the fan from rotating.
  • Fan is dirty—Clean the fan to remove any dust or dirt.
  • Fan wasn’t installed correctly—Have the fan checked to ensure it was installed properly to allow for adequate airflow.

Unit is Leaking

  • Condensate drain pan is clogged—Have any clogs or debris cleared out.
  • Excessive humidity in room where unit is—Open any windows or doors in the room where the fan coil unit is located to let the humidity air out. Ensure there’s proper airflow.

Unit Isn’t Maintaining the Right Temperature

  • Aquastat sensing issue—Have the aquastat checked to ensure it’s sensing the water temperature.
  • Thermostat isn’t calibrated—Have the thermostat calibrated and checked that it’s working.
  • Dead batteries in thermostat—Have the batteries changed in the thermostat.
