How to Use a Winco Rice Cooker

  • Step 1—Measure your desired amount of rice using the provided measuring cup.
  • Step 2—Rinse the rice in cool water to remove excessive starch. The water should run clear when the rice is thoroughly rinsed.
  • Step 3—Place the rinsed rice into the cooking liner pan and add the proper amount of water according to one of the measuring methods:
    • Option 1—Using the level markings on the pan liner.
    • Option 2—Using the provided measuring cup to measure as follows:
      • 30 cups of uncooked rice = 30 ¾ cups of water
      • 20 cups of uncooked rice = 20 ¾ cups of water
      • 10 cups of uncooked rice = 10 ¾ cups of water
      • 5 cups of uncooked rice = 5 ¾ cups of water
  • Step 4—Place the cooking pan liner with the rice and water into the cooker. Gently position it on the bottom heater by turning the pan right and left. Cover with the lid and let the rice soak for 30 minutes.
  • Step 5—Plug in the rice cooker and press the cooking button. The red cooking light will turn on to indicate that the cooking process has begun.
  • Step 6—Once cooking is done, a yellow light will turn on to indicate that the rice cooker is warming. Make sure you leave the lid closed for 15 minutes to allow the rice to rest.
  • Step 7—Unplug the rice cooker once done.
